The internet is full of people who have a quick fix or a single remedy solution for cancer. The only issue I have with those solutions is that they don’t address the core cause of the condition. If I were to subscribe to any of those options but continued the same lifestyle, there is a great chance that I would find myself in the same situation, with even less ability to turn it around. If I was serious about healing, I had to get to the root of the role my lifestyle and environment had played in the suppression of my immune system and the development of a tumor. I knew that once the tumor was removed, my focus would be on preventing metastasis and recurrence.
I have always been taught that when you want to be successful at something, you should do what successful people do. I needed to find someone who had the same condition and healed themselves naturally. I wasn’t looking for the person who just had their first clean scan, but someone who had shown that the natural path to healing is effective and sustainable. Thank God for Google. I found a man named Chris Wark. Chris also was diagnosed with Stage 3 CRC at a much younger age than I. He has survived and thrived for many years. He developed a coaching program to help others one-on-one, which then evolved into a program to help anyone looking to heal naturally, regardless of their affliction.

Through Square One, I was able to access a strategy for diet, detox, lifestyle, exercise, and prayer. I was hooked on healing. I was reading and listening to every book I could find (I will discuss books in another post). I was watching countless interviews on YouTube with doctors, nutritionists, and healers (what most call survivors). While I was impressed with Chris’ success, I was also aware that we are not all exactly alike, nor do we all have the same resources available to us. I took all the information I could find (I’m still learning), and I created a protocol that could work for me and that I also could afford. I was able to glean valuable information that I implemented into my healing strategy from each module. The beauty of natural healing is that, regardless of the disease we are attempting to heal, when we adopt a healthy lifestyle, any other ailments we may be experiencing also dissipate. The body’s natural state is one of health. By providing our body with what it needs and eliminating behaviors that have a negative impact on our health, our bodies will naturally reset to a state of wellness.
The question we all have to answer is, how do we want to live and how long can we live that way? I have come to realize that it is no small feat to disregard “conventional wisdom” and take your own path towards healing. The majority of people can’t do it. It is too difficult. My desire to live a long healthy life was so strong that no one was going to convince me that there was a better way than healing the body naturally. However, the greatest truth of natural healing is that, even if someone chooses to use standard medical interventions, the benefits will also have an impact.
So, whether a person chooses holistic healing or traditional therapies, everyone can benefit from a program like Square One.
